Terms of Service
Last updated: June 18, 2026
Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of Music Recognition, a song identifier and music discovery app. By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy.
Use of the app
Music Recognition helps identify songs playing around you, songs you hum, music from links, and music from local videos. It may also help you save history, favorite tracks, create playlists, browse charts, receive recommendations, share songs, and make ringtones, alarm tones, or notification sounds.
You are responsible for using the app lawfully and for ensuring you have the rights needed for any content, files, links, audio, or media you submit to the app.
Permissions
Some features require device permissions, such as microphone, local media, Apple Music, or location permissions. If you do not grant a permission, the related feature may not work. You can change permissions in iOS Settings.
Music content and metadata
Song titles, artists, album information, charts, recommendations, and other music details may be supplied by third-party sources. Music Recognition does not guarantee that every result will be available, complete, current, or error-free.
Subscriptions and purchases
If paid features, subscriptions, free trials, or in-app purchases are offered, they are processed through Apple or another disclosed payment provider. Billing, renewal, cancellation, refund eligibility, and purchase restoration are governed by the applicable store or provider terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for unlawful, infringing, harmful, or abusive purposes.
- Reverse engineer, interfere with, scrape, overload, or bypass app security or access controls.
- Upload or process content that you do not have the right to use.
- Misrepresent song results, metadata, playlists, recommendations, or shared content.
Intellectual property
The app, brand elements, interface, and related software are protected by intellectual property laws. Music content, album art, artist names, metadata, and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
Disclaimers
The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Music Recognition does not promise uninterrupted service, perfect recognition accuracy, or that every song, hum, link, or video can be identified.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Music Recognition will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of the app.
Changes and termination
Features may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time. These Terms may also be updated. Continued use of the app after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
